Veteran birder? Add some great birds to your life list. Beginner? Learn the ropes from some patient experts. Just enjoy birds and the out of doors? This is the place. We go out almost every Sunday morning (and sometimes other days) to different areas in Aomori Prefecture. This is a great way to learn the good spots, find the birds that are eluding you, hear about great sightings, and, especially, make new friends. Don't worry if your Japanese is as awful as mine, they're very helpful and almost every group has someone who can explain what's going on. They'll also help you get a Japanese bird book.
